When good teens went bad. The lure of Lake Hills Roller Rink.
Posted on 28 March 2010
Once upon a time in Bellevue, or more precisely, in Crossroads, was the scene of one of the most well known dance halls in the Northwest. The teen dance scene was in full swing in the 60s and early 70s due to local KJR deejay Pat O'Day and his Seattle dance circuit. But Bellevue needed it's own dance hall and local roller rink owner Howard Monta decided to do under 21 dances on Saturday nights in Lake Hills. The humble dance hall our parents loved to hate.
